Exhibitions at LGSA, curated by EIOS, are independently structured, with the collection serving as their foundation. By positioning archival materials as a point of departure, each exhibition aims to illuminate the historical background and social contexts of street art, while offering fresh perspectives on its practices and meanings.
These exhibitions are not limited to the physical space of LGSA by EIOS. To expand the scope of practice across disciplines, LGSA collaborates with corporations, cultural institutions, and educational organizations in Japan and abroad, undertaking exhibition direction that fosters connections across various fields. Such initiatives extend the archive’s function into the realm of public discourse.
In addition, exhibitions are often accompanied by related programs, such as talks and symposia. By inviting artists, researchers, critics, and practitioners, LGSA facilitates dialogue and knowledge-sharing, transforming the exhibition from a site of mere display into a platform for enriching the discursive environment surrounding street art.
